The City of Walters' Water and Sewer Department plays a vital role in maintaining the city's infrastructure. This dedicated team is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire hydrants, water mains, and sewer mains. Their expertise extends to installing water and sewer taps, as well as water meters.

  • Reading and replacing water meters.

The team is often on call after hours and late into the night, working diligently to repair leaks and ensure uninterrupted service for the community.


Meet the Supervisor: J.D. Chasenah


J.D. Chasenah, a proud Lawton native, brings extensive experience and expertise to the City of Walters. As a certified water and wastewater operator, a skilled heavy equipment operator, and holding CPR and Swimming Pool Operator certifications, J.D. ensures the highest level of service for the community.


One of his favorite aspects of the job is providing services for his family, friends, and neighbors. A notable highlight of his work was leading efforts during the most recent pool renovations, where he painted the pool and replaced the showers. Watching families enjoy the updated pool fills him with pride, knowing his efforts directly enhance the quality of life in Walters.
